My name is Connie Koehler. My husband, Bill and I, have resided in Fort Worth, Texas since 1969. I recently retired from opening a dedicated pediatric hospice program, Angel Unaware. I have volunteered for 15 years with equine therapy programs in Texas and New Mexico which is how I came to know Courtney Miller and her parents, Teresa and David. They opened Stars and Strides in Weatherford, Texas, as a result of having Courtney 27 years ago. Not only did this therapy help her but hundreds of other disabled children and adults. My father was the one who inspired and encouraged my love for photography. Only recently did I start photographing again. Being asked to participate in the Bold Beauty project has been an incredible gift, not only in encouraging me to nurture this talent, but in helping a wonderful young woman such as Courtney realize her incredible beauty and boldness.
