… Read the restI’m so sorry to report that we’ve lost one of our Bold Beauty models.Erin Christine Hoyt, photographed by Jim McJunkin, passed away on August 14 at the age of 27.I was aware at the outset of the project that Erin’s autoimmune disease was terminal. I was thankful she remained well enough to successfully participate, and even caught a glimpse of her at the People’s Gallery opening.
Located at the beautiful Morgan’s Wonderland in San Antonio, the Texas Bold Beauty Project will host its last opening for the year on September 28th and 29th. The hours will be 10am-4pm Saturday and 11am-4pm Sunday. Admission to the Park is $9 and gets you access to everything in the park including rides, attractions, and our photography exhibit in the Main Street Pavilion.… Read the rest
The Texas Bold Beauty Project wrapped up a two week showing at the Texas Capitol in Austin with a big thank you going to the Wimberley Valley Art League for lending us the portable panels which supported the prints. The sixth and final showing will be at Morgan’s Wonderland in San Antonio in late September where the show will be an inspiration to all young ladies with disabilities.… Read the rest

When she was two-years-old, Sarah and her family were in a propane explosion. Sarah had been thrown, knocked unconscious, and buried in the debris. I feel that I have embraced the concept of Bold Beauty by not automatically accepting the first impression people give of me. I was very lucky as a child to be naturally outgoing and smart.
